Hi,
I had submitted a similar bug related to gnome-orca:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=758434
When I did we did not have explanations about origin of the bug, etc. Maybe we
should merge them, or close the gnome-orca one, or reaffect orca ont to it?
Best regards

When I try to use spe-conf to set speech dispatcher to work with libao instead
of pulseaudio, spe-conf doesn't seem to work in stretch.
Here is output from my last try.
fpd-conf
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/spd-conf", line 10, in
sys.exit(speechd_config.main())

Is anyone aware of how to make the progress beeps work in orca besides totally
pulling pulse audio out of the system?
Taking pulse out was going to be my first choice, but sincd spd-conf doesn't
work, I can't do that.\
Thanks.

Yes, this is a bug which was reported, but reported too late for getting
fixed in Stretch 9.
Samuel,
Tell me how to do that, and I'll try.
