Hello Loredana, I'd suggest to use mutt that now has built-in IMAP and SMTP support, so there's no need for an external application to fetch and send mail, and of course it allows SSL/TLS (the latter recommended). Additionally, Storm Dragon proposes a script called fleacollar that can configure

I chose to use GNUS in Emacs. It's quite difficult to manipulate for the first time, and the documentation is in a mess. But it's usable. Regards, Raphaël loredana writes: > I find increasily difficult and error prone to read/send email via a > browser and would like to either use emacs (prefe

Hi Loredana, all, I deal with mails in full text-mode for years. I don't use GMail so I can't say anything on that, but for the rest I am a happy mutt user. I use emacs just to compose the messages, but to deal with them, including reading them through IMAP or POP I use mutt. The only disadvantage

You suggested 'fleacollar.sh' so I downloaded it and used chmod to make it executable. Fleacollar.sh is not like any script I have ever seen and just making it executable does not make it redallly usable. Has any one use it and what changes were made to it to make it usable in a Debian console inst

Hello, You just need to run it. Assuming it is in your $PATH just type in a console as regular user: fleacollar.sh then press Enter. But maybe I misunderstood your question? Best regards Didier On 30/08/2019 18:10, dhof...@att.net wrote: You suggested 'fleacollar.sh' so I downloaded it and

Unfortunately there are two fleacoller scripts. They should consolidate them, but they aren't going to do that. This is one, https://88.198.55.25/AIT/fleacollar/raw/5941be5d1f1a85e5498f0647b659056ff7fa125f/fleacollar.sh But the other one which is difficult to find is more recent. Here it is: T

Thanks David, the second URL you gave brought the file and it even looks like a script. I'm not sure what I downloaded, it was titled "fleacollar.sh" but it sure did not ressemble anything like what this file I just downloaded looked like. I had Mutt set up to receive email but had not yet set it
