I just posted a little while ago explaining my attempt to install deb
3.0r1 on my DEC AS4000 dual 400mhz 512mb of ram. Well the install
finished and all seemed to go well. When I logged in as a user and
tried to do a "startx" it came back with:

New to the list, as I type I have my DEC AS4000 installing Deb 3.0r1.
I've used linux on macs and pc's before, but never on this old Dec. I
