Thanks a lot for providing these ISOs Helge!!
Maybe it happened by coincidence, but a week ago I revived a long broken
XP1000 with a new/old CPU board.
So this machine is ready to do some experiments. There is just a 3DLabs
Oxygen VX1 adapter in it so far, everything else standard.

Hi,
I'm the happy owner of the decommissioned former "goedel.debian.org"
DS20E build server. (Thanks Thimo again for the easy and close
handover of that beast!)
This machine has done a good job in the past years and I would like to
revive it and let it do some work again. I've already spent her a

Hello,
I'm still running Sarge on a AS300 4/266 with a self-built 2.4.32
kernel from pristine sources in a software RAID1 configuration. I
thought it's about time to use a 2.6.x kernel and upgrade to Etch. My
first attempts to do this date back to when 2.6.21 was Latest, so I'm
still trying with t

Neither do I - maybe upgrade my test 500au with "the right" Sid
packages, whatever they are...

So e.g. the "Pulsar model" is really blue like on the sample picture?
Funny, with my Sarge installation, the thing has all colors but no blue
at all. But you run Sid on your PWS - or not?

Coming back to the screwed consoles:
Kernel 2.6.14.3 with DRI on a DPW600au with 3dfx 4500 shows the same
nasty effects as all the other kernels I've tried so far.
Talking about Problem no.2:
As an OpenGL newby, I've tried the sample programs from

I have spent some more time with that setpci on the DPW600au.
All cards in my system have this flag on by default - except the 3dfx -
and I can clear and set this flag and others wherever I like - except
on the 3dfx. Swapping the card into other slots doesn't help.
If nobody has ever seen a runni

I would expect that setpci it somewhere executed in a boot script
before (or after?) the X server ist started. Is there really nothing in
your scripts?

I would expect that setpci is run somewhere before X starts (or maybe
after). Is there really nothing in the boot scripts?
If you can provide your 2.6.x

according to

I would say yes.

Can you tell me how you enable bus mastering for your graphics card and
host bridge? I must be doing something wrong with the setpci command.
cheers

Hello all,
I am struggling to make DRI work on a DPW600au with a 3dfx Voodoo 4500
under Sarge. Kernel is 2.4.29.
Problem No.1:
When I enable DRI, all virtual consoles turn to a mix of white dots
scattered randomly all over the screen - I can still type but can't
read a thing...
Problem No.2:
