Try adding a PCI->USB port card to the PCI bus, then ATMEL driver

This card is supported in xfree86-4.2.1 and up. I use it in Debian and
NetBSD on PWS boxes.e-mail me 'off' list for my /etc/X11/XF86Config

If you have limited memory and machine is 21064 CPU,
then remove gdm or xdm with:
#apt-get remove gdm ( xdm)
login will now be 'text' mode allowing the use of:
$xinit -> select your widowmanager, icewm is great and
very thin, install with
#apt-get install icewm
$xinit, yields xterm, $icewm, start
Try,
http://www.netfilter.org/unreliable-guides/NAT-HOWTO/NAT-HOWTO.linuxdoc-4.html#ss4.1
masquerading works well for me 2.4.20 kernel, don't forget :
#echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
or your gateway box will not forward packets from the internal network.

Added an enable line to /usr/src/linux/arch/alpha/config.in

I think the PWS needs a 'special' supply. ATX will not work here
since motherboard power supply connectors are not compatable with
the ATX config. You can get a spare on-line from:

Hi,
As long as SRM recognizes the pci video card and XFree86 version
you are using supports the card, you can run Xsessions.
For the PWS- matrox(MII,G200,G450), glint Permedia2,3[3D-labs, 4D20
etc], ATI cards up to the radeon 7500 are supported, not supported by
SRM on these boxes are Nvidia cards
On an XP1000, with 2.2.20 Generic or 2.4.20 Generic kernel
using command boot from SRM or aboot:
>>>boot dkb0 -fi 2/vmlinuz-2.4.20 -fl root=/dev/sda2
boot stops at:
PCI:probing PCI hardware.
SMC37c669 found @0x3f0
..
Do not use modules for scsi devices required to boot:
hard wire this support with (Y) in kernel config file.
I had the same'panic...' message until i did just that.
FWIW you do not need anthing more than SRM consle to boot new kernel:
for me on this DS10, with dka200 as the scsi device:
>>>boot dk

PWS cpu is socketed, can be easily replaced. there is an S1 dip switch
below which sets chip operation (frequency)- it is possible to overclock
a 600MHZ chip to 667MHZ but not recommended. However any 433MHZ chip can
be replaced with a 600MHZ chip, i do this all the time. S1 settings must
