When using tgafb, you /should/ be able to switch vts with alt-f2 to get a

Well, this is really weird. Maybe there's a bug in the latest install.
I tried a number of times to install etch on my multia's 340mb internal
scsi drive but each time it quit right after trying to install
initramfs-tools. Tried going to a shell and deleting all the packages in
/target/var/cache/
Is there anyway to get to another console shell during the etch
install to remove the already installed packages in
/target/var/cache/apt/archives?
Or for that matter -- why doesn't the install just delete them as it
goes?

Bummer! After trucking along rather well for the whole install, it
crashed at the end when it was installing the kernel and intramfs stuff
-- no more room on the disk. Kind of a drag that you can't do a base
install on 340mb -- I didn't even partition any of it for swap. I guess
I'll have to get
Hot damn, Steve! It works -- installing on the tga console as we speak.
Thank you very much!

I don't know for multia, see the userguide. You may recognise some com
settings with 'show | more'. There might be a envvar com*_baud to set
the console speed, but this is for srm only: Linux does override the
settings.

Following the srm howto, I first did:
set ewa0_mode Auto-Sensing
set ewa0_protocols bootp
then did
boot ewa0 -fl "consol

Well, finally I'm getting somewhere -- changed the dhcpd.conf to give
it a static IP instead of the dynamic bootp range statement and off it
went. Now my only trouble is I'm not getting the serial console. What
should the settings be for the term program -- I'm using minicom, and I
know it works

So, I'll ask again...
Does anybody know what's wrong, or what I might be doing wrong,
trying to net boot my Multia?
Installs fine, configures, won't boot the kernel nfsroot. Can't find
root fs. Won't work with a floppy either.
Thanks,
Zach

Geez, I bet you guys are getting tired of this topic.
Anyhow, here goes. Ive got a VX40 Multia, which Im trying to
netboot. I tried stable, no dice. kernel dies and it reboots. Then, I
tried Woody. It worked. Loads tftpboot.img, Im
