Gcc-4.6 has been built for at least a couple of months on Alpha and with
all the other architectures defaulting to gcc-4.6 maybe it is time Alpha
did so too. There are some packages that FTBFS on Alpha (most notably
gnustep-base) because the package assumes that gcc-4.6 features are

Might as well increase the number of testers, eh? :-) Go for it.
Besides, I was beginning to wonder when I could safely reduce the nu
gcc defaults to gcc-4.4 on Alpha whereas all other architectures (except
m68k and maybe hppa) now default to gcc-4.6. A few packages are failing
to build with gcc-4.4 as the package maintainers are starting to exploit
gcc-4.6 features.
I had intended to do some testing of gcc-4.6 but have never go
