Far better: a "Reply to list" which only replies to the mailing-list,
and nor bothers the sender more, nor forces you to cut and paste
addresses between boxes.

Let me see... well, apt-get install mplayer-386 seems to work here (I
don't have it installed and it has to pull 41 packages here, but it
doesn't report failed dependencies). Did apt-get update work alright?
What about issuing apt-cache policy aalib1? Here it returns:
aalib1:
Installed: (none)
What could be the problem?
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mplayer-386: Depends: aalib1 (>= 1.2) but it is not installable
Depends: libartsc0 (>= 1.3.2) but it is not installable
Depends: libasoun
The Alioth documentation says that it's only available via an IA32
chroot for now ->

The proposed solution involves overriding parts of the system with
32-bit libraries and binaries.
Debian cleanly supports 32-bit libraries (see package ia32-libs), but
not binaries. You can still make a chroot jail and run the browser from
there, as suggested in the How To. Unless you're really

Maybe because there is no such thing as a Macromedia Flashplayer for

Yes, it has.
It is just a habit to click on reply, and as I wrote, other mailing
lists I am into, have this reply (without reply to all) feature.
It was just a suggestion :)
