I have installed sid on my machine with the closed-source nvidia-driver
for XFree.
But running the benchmark glxgears I get only about 600 fps.
It seems to be not enougth for a NVidia Geforce FX5200.
My XFree config looks like:

KILE or KDVI print doesn't start: job error in localhost:631. If I use Kprinter
sometime works other not.
I have put: LogLevel debug2 in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf

I've upgraded (unstable) fakeroot from 1.3 to 1.4 and when I try to
build a debian package (debuild from inside the package source tree),
the system seems frozen. If I do a strace, I can see the process halted
on a WAIT(.
I've reverted to 1.3 and the problem has gone.

sound was finally working (I switched from aRts to ALSA).

like some component is reading from the console. I haven't investigated

I was wondering if the messages displayed during startup are recorded
somewhere that can be consulted later. /var/log/dmesg and
/var/log/syslog do not actually contain **exactly** the same messages
displayed during startup. They contain something related but
different.
