add non-free. Maybe you need to change sid instead sarge, install nvidia
with m-a a-i -t nvidia, and after that change again to sarge.

Hello,
I just wanted to install the unrar package, but it didn't work... After
looking at my 32bits sarge systems i found out the unrar package does
exist, but it isn't available on amd64, i guess there's a problem
compiling it on a 64 bits platform. I just wanted confirmation...

Hi all.
I can't get the KDE clock to allow me to adjust the date & time.
At first I thought it was util-linux package is screwed on my system (wants me
to unload sysvinit and all kinds of good stuff), but I subsequently did a
fresh install elsewhere, and I'm getting the same problem there too.

Somewhat related, but not really, (I'm shy about starting new
threads), I was wondering what mirrors there are for amd64-k8 or
otherwise amd64 compatible packages. Right now I'm using the
following mirrors:

Hi,
have a look at the grub-splashimages package, worked for my amd64. And no need to compile anything.

Dear all,
My problem is very simile. I have a part of sarge on hd and nothing can
to install. How to remove debsig-verify package?
Command
apt-get -f remove debsig-verify
does not do it without any diagnostic.
dpkg -l debsig-verify
says this package is not fully installed.
Do you know an ot

Hello debian users,
I am wondering if anyone managed to get graphical bootsplash to work
with amd64.
I've followed the howto, but the compilation of bootsplash package gives
me the following error:
gcc -Os -Wall -I/usr/include/freetype2 -c -o mng.o mng.c
mng.c: In function 'copyline':
