Could you try using the daily installer from amd64.debian.net from sept. 22? This is the one I used, I have the same mobo as you, original bios, and I have no problems. I wonder if they changed something in the kernel that is part of that build. The sata_uli there should work fine. On 10/6/05,

The stock BIOS on the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 sucks. The PXE option, at the very least, fails approx. 60% of the time, with no rhyme or reason. There is a newer bios available on the website, v1.2. Stock is v1.1. Once I manage to get the system to boot, however, everything seems to work fine. I s

Hi, I don't think the SATA2 chip (JBM360) on the 939dual-sata2 has a driver for linux. Infact, lspci doesn't even identify it. I suspect it might be on a PCI-Express bus, for which I've compiled in support, but I don't know how well it works. On lspci I get two unknown devices PCI bridge: ALi
