What is the correct URL for the testing packages?
AMD64 etch should be in ftp.de.debian.org/debian, just like sid.

Hi.
As discussed before there are always quite a few packages from non-free
that are more recent in i286 than in amd26 (e.g. nvidia stuff). There
are even packages that are not yet built for amd64 at all (e.g. scilab).
What prevents the non-free suff from beeing added to the amd64 autobuilders?
Are you using esd? If so the reason for your segfaul is a running esd.
The bug has already been reported.

Hi.
I just wonder if there is anything new about unstable amd64 becoming
official? I think that would be a big gift to all of us,... especially
we wouldn't have to create packages from source There are still lots
of programms that are not available in amd64 (I still miss scilab,
mtr,...

Most of the packages you mention would be found there.
Yes,... of course ;-)
BTW, AMD64 is very almost an official port. It is autobuilding packages

Hi.
First of all. Until now (I've just switched from i386 to a amd64 Debian)
I've always used the vanilla files from nvidia.com (and their installer).
The problem of course is that this passes the package systems,
overwrites Xlibs etc. etc.
So I'd like to use the Debian way now :-)
However, I

Yes, would be great if it becomes a real alternative to the closed
Macromedia stuff. (Especially for us AMD64 users ;-) )
