2-way Opteron, 3Ware9500 SATA RAID5 with 5 disks: short updateing
transactions with PostgreSQL fly, long updates start fast but after a
few seconds everthing locks up, and the update lasts forever.

Thanks for all answers. Running the executable from a chroot seesion still does
not work whatever I tried. Using dchroot instead to start the executable works

Hi all,
Is there a working boot.img.gz for installing Debian AMD64 with an USB stick
available?
I found one on the Internet (from early june from looking at the timestamp) but
that one, if used in the rescue mode, stops while setting up syslogd and
refuses to continue...
