linux to do this?
I have started a wiki for this board at http://tastytronic.net/k8ndlis/
to try and collect data and real-world information on it and I'll put
the result of this conversation there.

memory on both
CPUs you need RAM in all 6 slots, and each needs to be equal, which
seems extremely limiting.
I put two in A1/A2 and two in A3/B3... but then that means that
channel A has 3 GB and Channel B has 1GB.
Does anyone know what they're talking about, or has this board and has
done some

So, my quiet 4-way dual-core Opteron system is up and running.
* ASUS K8N-DL motherboard because of it's smallish size and
it's support for

I'm just not crazy about the "quiet cases" for EATX mobos. I guess
that shouldn't be that surprising...

Thanks for the input... your setup sounds pretty good. I was hoping to
avoid EATX because I have a cabinet I'd like to get the unit to fit
in...

I figured that even if you guys didn't know these pieces of hardware
specifically, the peanut gallery would at least have opinions about
the best way to make a quiet dual dual-opteron server.
Thanks,
