Hello everyone ,

I have a Sun machine with two processors .
When i run cat /proc/cpuinfo , this appears :

processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 5
model name : AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 248
stepping : 10
cpu MHz : 2190.851
cache size : 1024 KB
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 1
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 syscall nx mmxext lm 3dnowext 3dnow
bogomips : 4308.99
TLB size : 1088 4K pages
clflush size : 64
cache_alignment : 64
address sizes : 40 bits physical, 48 bits virtual
power management: ts fid vid ttp

Only one processor is found . How can I configure the system to detect the two cpu's ? My kernel is not set with SMP , does it have anything to do with it ? My kernel is 2.6.8-11-amd64-k8 .

If recompiling is needed , what features should I enable ?
Right now , i don't have all the specifications of the computer , but i'm working to find it on the web .
