Firefox and java

hi I've downloaded jre from blackdown, in order to use it for as the java plugin for firefox (as I saw some time ago in this list). it's all fine but the plugin isn't shown in about:plugins I had a look at the link I made and I got this: $ ldd libjavaplugin_oji.so libjvm.so = not found
