Hallo,
maybe a stupid question but I'm using now gcc-3.4 since a bought my
amd64 and I'm quite satisfied with it. (use it as normal workstation and
for me its stable)
As I tried the last apt-get update two days ago I noticed that there
are some differences in the source lists. so I took the new
. Or is it better to switch
back to pure64.
The gcc-3.4 archive is being replaced by the new gcc4 archive which is
compiled from scratch using the freshly released version of gcc-4.0.
The gcc4 archive will be available soon as
deb http://debian-ppc64.alioth.debian.org/gcc4 unstable main contrib non-free

The amd64 gcc4 (formerly gcc-3.4) archive is moving to
http://debian-ppc64.alioth.debian.org/gcc4/. Please update your
sources.list to continue using gcc4.
It is generally suggested that you downgrade to regular pure64 for
non-development use. However, the gcc4 archive will continue

This happens for several other packages I've tried, but not for

I am working on a fresh installation from the gcc-3.4 archives. I have most
of the system working well, but kde is badly broken. I think that it is
similiar to the problem discussed on this list in February, caused by a
broken libqt3c102-mt package. Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I had a
Hello,
I'm using the gcc-3.4 archive but I didn't see any new debs in the
recent days.
Looking in http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/gcc-3.4/buildd-logs/ I
can see build-logs from the last few days but I can't find the build
packages in http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/gcc-3.4/pool

I leave that up to Andreas as he is doing all the work on it.
My intention is to continue the gcc-3.4 archive until
Debian officially switches to gcc-4.0 as its default

The gcc-3.4 archive, which uses gcc-4.0 to compile its packages since
December 2004, of course has gcc-4.0 packages available
