Sorry, but what I just said wasn't exactly true. Using the DFS boot disk you
can bootstrap an AMD64 installation, but what's not made clear in the FAQ is
that after chroot'ing and doing the basic install & configuration, it's
necessary to manually (apt-get or aptitude) install a kern

am trying to set up debian-amd64 on it with a blank harddisk, I'll install
debian-i386 or whatever else we want to run on it later. I downloaded
sid-amd64-netinst.iso today (26-Aug-2004 09:41). The installation goes f
