Did you first set RANDFILE to /dev/random? Is /dev/random available
in the chroot? What does strac-ing the openssl process show you, and

causing the problem anymore, the filesystem that housed the file was
hosed, and i didn't have backups.
later on if you like i can reinstall apache and try again with userdir.

Why was the subject of this email completely dropped from the Debian
archives? This is an extremely useful tool. I understand why it isn't
in main, but why couldn't it just have been moved
