This is really annoying. No matter what I try I cannot remove, reinstall, fix,
or do anything with libapache-mod-perl. I really need to get ftpd installed on
this machine, but can't because of this stupid apt error. ftpd has absolutely
nothing to do with libapache-mod-perl, but apt, in its

Unfortunately I don't have those answers. The system in question I inherited
when I started this job. It's a VMware appliance that someone made at some
point in time and published for others to use. I dont know who built it or
when, or what if any modules they built by hand.
