I am having trouble installing Debian 2.2 on my PC. I have a 3CD
i386 binary set, which when I boot from the first CD -- doesn't see my
hard-drive and thinks I'm doing a diskless install. Current config:
Abit KA7-100 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 750
256MB PC133 RAM
Seagate ST320420A

Linux 2.2.18 with ide-patch applied should work.

The Abit KA7-100 has four IDE channels, the two first is driven by
the HPT 370 chip and the other two is connected to the VIA
Alas, to use 'ext' I believe you need a developer account.
This is a pain and my hands are tied. We will have to wait until admin finds a
moment to look into it.

When installing Debian GNU/Linux 2.2r2 onto a Compaq ProLiant DL380 server
I stumbled across a slight problem; the device file entries for the Compaq
Smart2 RAID controller do not exist on the root disk.
