Same here, I need to run update-grub after installation is complete to see
the other OS in the grub menu.

I've tried the last daily-build on amd64 system and my keyboard, a MX3200 by
Logitech, isn't recognize by the debian-installer. My keyboard needs module
hid-logitech. This module isn't build in the kernel but like a module, I
think that is the mistake. What do you think about that ?

This bug also affects i386, but only the package for amd64 was pushed to
etch-proposed-updates. I think that you should also push a package for
i386.
