I was particularly pleased that the installer suggested a partitioning scheme and allowed me to approve it and modify it before commiting the changes. I was hit by a bug after rebooting that left the console unusable. I assume this was the bug listed in the rc1 errata under the heading "Hotplug bugs lead to reboot loops, no display." I believe my framebuffer was messed up. I attempted to reboot into emergency mode (as selected from the GRUB menu) but the framebuffer was still messed up so I couldn't make the changes recommended in the errata listing. I started the install over and had the same problem. In normal or emergency mode, the framebuffer would go crazy partway through the boot process so the console was unusable. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
