Beg your pardon! I soon realised, my message had not enough content. The thing was: One SCSI-HD and one SCSI -CDD were not found by Sarge. Bios showed one MAXTOR IDE 4GB hd, one Seagate 2,5 GB hd (SCSI0), one Seegate 1 GB hd (SCSI1) und one IBM CDD (SCSI3). Sarge found the ide hd and only the 1GB SCSI hd (SCSI1). Partitioning of the ide hd was easy. The only found SCSI hd was partitioned too, but I was not able to mount it later on. The installation with kernel 2.4 was not possible (linux and expert led to the same result): the hardeware detection stoped at 38%. I had to do hardwarereset. The system found SCSI and installed tmscsim, came to an end, restart gave an errormessage. As I rember the system could not realise the filesystem on the only found SCSI hd (I had selected once EXT2 an once EXT3). I'd like very much to install the SCSI system. With Woody the mentioned problem did not not appear. Actually the SCSI parts are removed completly. If there is any reason, I can easily repeat the first attempt and give missing informations. In the time between I found another annoying behavior: It pretty difficult to come back to BIOS when Sarge ist installed.
