Package: debian-installer
Version: 20060910 snapshot d-i etch (b3)
Severity: important

I tested the daily build of the debian installer b3 for etch and tried
to install it in a
IBM eServer xSeries 306m

The installer finishes nicely, but after reboot, the network stays down.

A messages appear for all the interfaces:
rename_net: error changing net interface name lo_temp

Upgrading to the udev of sid fixes the problem.

There are other problems with udev on IBM eServer xSeries 336
(ultimately causing a BUG in CPU#0 (soft lockup)); but still
investigating this.
