Comments/Problems:

All was fine until 'Select and install software'. I'd selected Desktop
in Tasksel and it downloaded c.655Mb and seemed to be installing
eveything OK; however, when I next looked at it, there was the red
screen advising me the install had failed.

I tried again (still selecting Desktop) and it failed again. Third time
I didn't attempt to install anything via tasksel and the intall
completed OK.

I didn't install yaboot (it was already installed via another system).

Reboot was fine and I've managed to install ssh using aptitude. Minor
point: the base install version of ssh-client is later than the
ssh-server version; I accepted the downgrade to the previous version.

I've tried running tasksel again and got:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/usr/bin/tasksel line 345.
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at

tasksel: aptitude failed (255)

The main topic of this bug resoved to be a broken mirror. The weird
error message has not appeared for quite a while. Hence closing.
