(I wrote my net-install CD using K3b and I checked the MD5 checksum before recording disk.) I ended not installing the base system. When I booted into the system I installed xorg, kde-core and kdm. Everything works now. Thoughts: Expertgui does not give that much more options than typical installgui. So, I thought maybe just a button on each screen to enter expert mode when needed. Extertgui allowed me to choose some extra steps -- e.g. choose network mirror, which I OKed and later was asked to choose it twice. So, why giving extra options if they are already part of the standard installation process? Thoughts 2: why not having "install a minimal graphical system" (say, xserver-xorg-core, kde-core, kdm) Thoughts 3: Why not split tingSQL database task into mySQL and POSTGRE and other. I want mySQL but I do not want to setup everything. Basically, I am suggesting a finer task selection. Thought 4: Great work! From 'installgui' to running system with graphical interface in less than an hour. If had no problems probably could be less than 30mins. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
