A suggestion for the cause of this problem. The build dependencies are so enormous for consolekit that I will never build them on a system with GNU/kFreeBSD, or on GNU/Linux for that matter, so I am doing a more or less educated guess here. At first I thought 'libpam-ck-connector' would be the

hald-probe-volume throws core dumps

Hello, has somebody already observed that 'hald-probe-volume' is keen on throwing core dumps into '/usr/lib/hal/'. My system has irregular uptimes, but I see 120 instances of this segmentation fault. Most of the time four[sic] core dumps are thrown within two seconds. These happen at every boot.

tags 570015 + patch -- Great! I have reported to BTS, but let me repeat also here: $ ssh n...@kfreebsd uptime never fails to provoke a segfault at kfreebsd running GNU/kFreeBSD. Could this merit upgrading to important? Could it be that ConsoleKit mixes GNU/Linux and FreeBSD in autoconf?
