Hello
I am not a debian developer, and I just use kFreeBSD on a VMs for testing
purposes.
I think it is a project worth keeping alive, even if not 100% workable.
Dumping it away is a great waste of previous and precious work on
portability and kernel abstraction.
kFreeBSD 7 was stable enough to
.
It seems you are suffering of some bugs in the kernel or basic userland.

Hello Herbert
You have to modify /etc/apt/sources.list to point to the current
repositories.
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian jessie-kfreebsd main
deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie-kfreebsd/updates main
deb-src http://httpredir.debian.org/debian jessie-kfreebsd main

Ciao Paolo
Yes I think you can do it.
I am using kFreeBSD in spare time on:
- as VM on VirtualBox on main PC
- as kFreeBSD chroot on Kimsufi FreeBSD server IP 5.135.154.202
- native boot on Asus eeeBox Atom 270 dual core 2 GB RAM with 160GB SATA
disk
- native boot on IBM x3200 M2 Xeon Quad Core
for others googling around, I posted
this informations on my blog http://decadence.it/debian-gnu/kfreebsd
Enjoy the upgrade! ;)

Hello people!
Today, I cannot update my Debian/kFreeBSD systems (1 phisical, 1 VM)
because the repositories vanished after the official release of
Jessie.
What are the repositories to use from now on?
I googled, but found nothing.
I also took a look at debian.net and debian-ports.org but there
shape until two days ago.
This seems quite a boycott to a project of very high value.
Thank you
Best regards

Install updated kfreebsd-image-10.1, reboot, apt-get update works.
I can reply on my system to have a second test, if you like.

Hello everyone
I am new to the list and to kFreeBSD, but I am long time Debian user,
Debian sysadm for various private and cloud servers, and sincere
Debian lover.
I know kFreeBSD since many years, but I only tried the Ging live cd years ago.
In the last days I gained more and more interest in

I hope that my post could be useful to Debian platform improvement and
I will report other information as they come, if there is interest in
it.
