Package: xmms-modplug
Version: 1.5a-2
Severity: wishlist

Modplug for Windows has the option of using an Automatic Gain Control,
which allows the file to play not quietly.. Basically, some files with
lots of channels just play almost silently. Since the XMMS plugin is
based on the same source code, the feature should be there, we simply lack
an interface to it.

The modplug plugin is generally always pretty quiet. The preamp is there
but causes clipping so easily. Seems the AGC would be a good thing to be
able to control.

The modplugxmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/456731 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
