Upstream has identified a zpool warning issue [1], that can be mitigated
by reverting

25f06d677 Fix /etc/hostid on root pool deadlock

At a minimum this can serve as an alert for people running into this problem.

This is indeed a problem, but only happens once (when upgrade crosses the 
version 0.8.2).

Since these versions were released more than four years ago, it is safe to 
close the bug now.
