In general I think that this is a worthwhile addition to ORBit2.
Nevertheless, I am hesitant to deviate too much from the upstream
package for an essential package like ORBit2. (Essential for GNOME that

I had a look at the source code. Every time localhost is
used. But it shouldn't be localhost, it should be the real
hostname or better the fqdn. If it is localhost you can not
now which machine it was exactly, if you will have a look on

This bug seems to be related to vfat partitions, as I could only notice file
date and time corruption occur when moving or copying to or from a vfat
partition.
