Note that if the initramfs hook is supposed to work (i.e. generate an
initramfs image with the proper crypto modules), the /dev/mapper/crypt?
nodes created by partman-crypto during the installation probably also

I am in error here. I didn't realise that kernel-package
needs debianized sources of third party modules. Reading the
man page for kpkg I just assumed it didn't (just like the case
