When trying to start openoffice on an amd64 (quad processor) machine,
the flash screen appears and openoffice hags with about a millimeter of
red showing in the progress chart.

Yes, all other Ctrl-Alt combinations appear to work including
Ctrl-Alt-F# and Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. It's only Keypad-Plus and Minus
