Julien was correct. The problem was due to an old installed version.
After I removed it, reinstalling the new version went cleanly. This bug
should be closed. A suggestion would be to have the install script
generate a message if an old version is found which can't be cleaned up by
dpkg.

I am about to report this upstream too
Because the structure can not be casted to an anonymous structure
which is mandatory in C++ (malloc returns void* and new
flashplugin-nonfree managed to build an amd64 package using
nspluginwrapper. See

Maybe we could do the same until upstream releases a native amd64 build?

newer versions. So just change the version-control from "==" to ">="
