I think I had similar problems with eclipse. I tried with both 3.2.2
(unstable) and 3.2.1 (testing) version. I also tried 3.3 from official

While installing these bindings for use in a ruby script, I noticed that
also irb (interactive ruby) is installed. Since I do not plan to use irb
on this system, only the script, I wonder why this extra dependency is
