I've reproduced this bug, bug it doesn't belong to kdeprint which is just
the printing dialog application, but to the kdelibs where the cups backend
lives.
I'm working on a very simple patch on it and I'm almost done. The root cause
it's the debian patch

Also, logging in, starting nautilus, logging out, logging in again and
