I've noticed that if I stop timidity before shutting the system down, then
during shutdown the script fails to stop timidity (correctly since it has
already been stopped by me), but it takes 20-30 seconds nevertheless.
I then infer the problem lies in the script, not in timidity itself.

static libs[1]. On a related note, dh_strip seems to do the right
thing(tm) so any package using debhelper (correctly) should already
