Debian no longer supports the /dev/root symlink which forces users to

fail anymore on different architectures.

When installing Debian from an USB stick, an entry for the USB stick is
added to /etc/fstab:
'/dev/sdb1 /media/usb0 autorw,user,noauto 0 0'
Therefore every stick inserted in the /dev/sdb1 slot is mounted without

but the file doesn't appear to embed a drand48, but use it for various purposes
(so "based on" being "using" rather than "shares code with")
