i tried apt-get remove --purge xfce4-power-manager
then a reboot
then re-install
then reboot
at first all seemed ok and i had just one icon showing
then i ran an app that used the keyring (owncloud client) and suddenly
the 2nd icon appeared again - a slightly broken icon image but
