Downgrading to 2012 version of ntfs-3g fixed it.
Using ntfs-3g version 2012.1.15AR.5 (or any version earlier
than 2012.1.1AR.7) on a system dual-booting with Windows 8
is very dangerous, as this version is not protected against
fast booting into Windows 8.
