I am use Clonezilla Live based on latest Debian LiveCD. It tuned to use UTF-8 locale and all Cyrillic text look good but in console-data absent UTF-8 Russian Cyrillic keymap and in console characters looked wrong. This may be correct by add ru-utf.kmap.gz into /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/. Please, add Russian Cyrillic UTF-8 keymap into console-data - ru-utf.kmap.gz file and it description in console-data scripts, perhaps it makes sense to do it by default for Russian UTF-8 locale. No other keymap of the included pack does not display a correct look of Cyrillic characters with UTF-8 locale.
