I have tested with a 3.11 kernel (3.11-trunk-686-pae, 3.11-1~exp1
(2013-09-12)) and the problem persists. I am going upstream, thank you once
again for your answer.
Supplementary information : Most of the graphical corruptions can be
overcome by restarting impacted applications (in my case : openb

Hello,
I don't think this is a new bug, so I sent it to both bug reports I could see
which seem to be related with this problem. #407805 reports a change on
2007-09-01 in vino with regards to using XKB that should solve a keyboard
problem, but #444220

Of course 420503 fixes a crash. From what I understand as soon as
filtering while receiving mails is possible 420503 has to be applied or

There's a fix for it, but
Package: gdm

Followup-For: Bug #462572
Since I could reproduce it without gdm by running a few X commands, it's
not a gdm bug, it's more likely a xserver-xorg-video-intel bug. please close
#462572 and sorry.

To reproduce:
Run a 2nd user session with the change user option in the
System menu of the gnome panel. Logoff this new user. GDM leaves the
state of the underlying tty (usually tty8) in scancode keyboard mode.
Nothing bad happens until you switch
