Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
This occurred on a fresh bookworm installation after upgrading the kernel from
6.1.0-9-amd64 to 6.1.0-10-amd64. Another user reported the same issue here:

Package: kicad
Version: 5.1~20190127.4fc692f+dfsg1-1
I installed kicad from experimental and noticed that the actual version
is “6.0.0-rc1-unknown+dfsg1-1” and not 5.1 which is what the package
version suggests. This can be seen if you start kicad (e.g. Help → About
KiCad).
