booting the system up, I downgraded grub2-common, grub-common, grub-pc
and grub-pc-bin all to 2.00-22 and the issue was solved.

Hi,
I am sorry but I won't be able to supply any further intel on this bug,
since back then I was forced to reinstall my DebianOS.
All I can tell you now is that I was using LVM but didn't have any
snapshots at the time. Also, after the first reinst
/boot is not, but the rest of the system is encrypted using LVM,
dm-crypt and LUKS.

u attempted a cross-disk install, but the filesystem containing
/boot/grub does not support UUIDs.
I tryed to reconfigure locales and install locales-all. But none of this worked.

Hi,
Thank you for unleashing the patch. I've applied it to my
/usr/share/gcstar/lib/GCGraphicComponents.pm and now I able to use GCStar
again. I just hope it doesn't take much longer to this problem be fixed on
debian repositories.
