Subject: gnome-logs: bug continues to happen Followup-For: Bug #899204 Package: gnome-logs Version: 3.30.0-1
Dear Maintainer, Gnome-logs continues to exhibit the same behaviour as outlined in this bug. * What led up to the situation? launching the application from either command line or through gnome-shell. Using a non-root account of course. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? tried launching the application as usual. I am presented with two buttons "ignore" or "help" and a message saying "Unable to read system logs". Clicking on any of the items in the left pane, after pressing ignore or help causes a segementation fault as follows: ** (gnome-logs:13399): WARNING **: 17:53:28.491: Error retrieving the sender timestamps: Cannot assign requested address * What was the outcome of this action? Segementation fault with the following message : ** (gnome-logs:13399): WARNING **: 17:53:28.491: Error retrieving the sender timestamps: Cannot assign requested address * What outcome did you expect instead?
