Changing the mode of the directory to 1777 (similar to the mode of
/tmp), it will work.

It would be nice if mmdebstrap could gain a dry-run/simulation mode that
does exactly this (construct sources list entries and run "apt-get
install --simulate" on the packages list).

Our build tool does not know the names of the files for copy-out when
calling mmdebstrap, because some scripts called via --customize-h
