Package: network-manager Version: 0.8-1 Severity: normal The file /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf has the [ifupdown] field set to false. This causes nm-applet to think it's disconnected and, because of that, some Gnome apps don't connect to the web. Two examples are Empathy and Pidgin.
