In desperation, I installed the current unstable packages (icedove and
iceowl-extension1:45.2.0-4), which do NOT crash immediately. If I get
random crashes remains to be seen...

I've had these random crashes of icedove on my work machine (about 3-5
times/day recently). Now (as of today) it's worse : Icedove doesn't even stays
stable enough for completing its launch : the main window appears briefly and
