By the way, if I try sensible-browser -x the behavior i describe is not
observed. i can't find the documentation to tell me what the -x option
might be doing but it may be a clue.

The icon *is* present in LXLauncher, but it doesn't work.
No problems from the command line or using the Gnome menu.

i already have a fixed package from upstream ready to go, I have just been
waiting for him to decide how to bump the revision number. hopefully it
will happen soon. What he did was completely rewrite the tests instead of
patch them.
